The foremost example of Bennettsville’s Victorian and Greek Revival homes is the Jennings Brown House which was built in 1827 by one of the town’s doctors. The house served as headquarters for Major General Frank P. Blair during the Union occupation of Bennettsville. The Marlboro County Historical Museum also houses the South Carolina Cotton Trail Visitors Center.
